The fund is the first ETF in the market that offers exposure to Ether (ETH). The portfolio is priced based on the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate (ETHUSD_RR) a once-a-day benchmark index price for USD-denominated Ether. ETH holdings are purchased through OTC counterparties, and different Ether trading platforms, including Bitstamp, Coinbase, Gemini, itBit and Kraken. A trading platform is eligible as a constituent exchange in the ETHUSD_RR if it facilitates cryptocurrency spot trading against the corresponding fiat currency, and makes trade data and order data available. ETHUSD_RR uses a pricing methodology that divides a one-hour window of transactions on constituent exchanges into 12 partitions of equal length (five minutes each). It produces an ETH value that averages the volume-weighted median of all transactions in each partition. The fund will not use derivatives, does not intend to pay regular cash distributions, and will not hedge any foreign currency exposure.
