The fund seeks long-term capital growth by taking long/short positions in US equities. Adopting the Mackenzie Global Quantitative Equity (GQE) teams process, the fund blends quantitative research with a human overlay to identify opportunities and risks. The fund may employ cash borrowing, short sales, leverage, and derivatives for hedging and non-hedging purposes. Following a core style initially, the fund goes long on undervalued, high-quality companies and short on overvalued ones through a risk-aware quantitative process based on valuations, financial ratios, market and alternative data, as well as AI. Leverage use via borrowing, shorts, or derivatives cant exceed 300% of the funds NAV. Short-selling and cash borrowings are also capped at 50%. MALX integrates ESG factors using quantitative models. The actively managed ETF may invest in other funds with flexibility to adjust the portfolio at any time.
