The fund is passively managed to target Canadian food and staples retail companies. The considers companies classified under Gasoline Stations, Grocery Store, and Discount Store as per FactSet RBICS Level 4 classification, while excluding holding companies and Wholesale Distributors. Companies incorporated in Canada are screened for minimum market-cap and liquidity requirements. However, these requirements may be relaxed until the minimum number of four securities is met. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly, assigning each security equal weights.
