The fund tracks an index of North American listed securities engaged in the production or exploration of materials used to enable the global energy transition. Qualified stocks are assigned exposure scores between 0.5 and 1, using FactSet RBICs and S&P Commodity Insights data. Securities are weighted based on the product of each constituents free market capitalization and exposure score, capped to enhance basket liquidity. Weights are subject to constraints with respect to liquidity and exposure scores, while keeping its Canadian exposure to 60%. Final weights minimizes the squared difference between capped and uncapped weights, divided by uncapped weights. The fund may invest in other affiliated ETFs. While primarily using a replicating strategy, the fund may employ a sampling strategy by investing in affiliated ETFs and/or through derivatives. The index is rebalanced quarterly.
