I like their products and research materials, etc but TWS is slooow and I find their interface pretty clunky (especially the "new" one).

Our flagship platform, the Desktop TWS is purposely designed as a spreadsheet as it's an interface most professional traders are accustomed to. You may want to try Mosaic, Client Portal or IBKR Mobile for a more contemporary user interface. We encourage our clients to review IBKR Campus. Love them, except for their charting platform. not user friendly, nor year 2022 level. great fills, great support.

paper trading account does not work with trading view

This is an excellent choice especially for international customers. They have very competitive fees (their Lite account with 0 commission doesn't give access to TWS software so I am not taking it into consideration for active trading) For beginners their Pro account with fixed fees seems to be best choice. More experienced traders can choose tier level schedule. Of course you need to pay extra for real time data but that's basically same thing with ever other broker. You are looking at something around 50$ per month. It seems that there is an issue with TradingView integration as it is choppy and buggy according to other users. At the moment there is no Lvl 2integration for DOM tool.

i like the platform , but the tradingview integration seems not ready yet , a lot of bugs and glitches and this could be dangerous for traders that needs to make quick decisions
