NAS Outlook 8/15

Updated
Bearish on NAS. Monthly FVG below is what I am seeing as the current draw on liquidity. after that gets tapped price may either want to push into it, or reverse and take out some of the recent highs.
Note
In a short from the 2H FVG. snapshot
Note
moving well. need to see price trade to and through the weekly open. snapshot
Note
snapshot weve traded to the weekly open, looking to see it trade through.
Note
snapshot slow grind but still in it.
Note
forward testing an add on nas after nyse open
Note
forward testing the add here going off the 4H chart. considering using the 4H chart primarily for trade ideas and only going to lower timeframes once we are in 4H POIs to avoid getting whiplashed around as I have more recently snapshot
Note
snapshot the added forward test position could have been taken from 50% of the OB with the same stoploss for a better R/R while maintaining the same criteria for invalidation.
Note
4H OB holding nicely. I will be working off the 4H more often moving forward.
Note
snapshot
Note
Approaching TP1, glad to have gotten some movement ahead of FOMC mins at 2PM. snapshot
Note
snapshot TP1 hit.
Note
snapshot great TP selection as price is reacting as expected off of it. lets see if it dips once more for TP 2.
Note
snapshot stoploss moved to above the PM session high.
Note
snapshot gave it room. I dont think the dip is done.
Note
snapshot Sl moved back to what should be the PM session high
Note
snapshot What thoughts go through your mind as price approaches but has not hit your TP?

"Should I close now? what if it runs away from me? should I move my TP to get more profit? Im kind of hungry should I order takeout?"

Journal these thoughts and come up with an approach. There is nothing wrong with closing your position early so long as you are making that decision in logic and not out of fear.
Trade closed: target reached
snapshot TP 2 hit, trade collapsed.
Note
Trade breakdown snapshot
Note
snapshot looking to buy
Note
Tapped in. TP levels set lets see how she fares. snapshot
Trade closed: stop reached
snapshot did not hold. I still like longs so lets see.
Note
We are in extreme HTF discount here in the Weekly FVG. I will take one more shot from this level, which is a 1:1 mirror of the price traded above the weekly open, inside the 4H BPR. snapshot
Note
tapped in. Same TPs as before for now. snapshot
Note
snapshot encouraging initial reaction, but we need to get above the recent high to be safe and it's still a ways away.
Note
snapshot going break even.
Note
snapshot Can you see it yet?
Note
giving it back full stoploss.
Note
snapshot damn its not looking good brev. buy was premature.
Note
Stopped out and one last try. IDK mayne everything is telling me we go up. its the end of the week, sellside chasing should be over.
Note
snapshot
Note
Was wrong on NAS as price did not seem to have any interest in chasing buyside the second half of the week. I still think we are in discount and buys are attractive, but the market structure has not yet changed to support this.
Note
snapshot one last buy attempt for the week.

May god have mercy upon me. 😂
Note
snapshot No funny business Friday's. SL below the low after a validated 15min OB
Note
still in this, had to give SL some breathing room as it looks like a search and destroy liq clearing played out.
Note
notice how no bodies close below the OB, only wicks. This is crazy messy trading. snapshot
Note
snapshot finally getting some encouraging market structure. its about to be noon on friday in an hour, might not get the sort of expansion I was hoping for. Will re-evaluate TP levels.
Note
snapshot TP levels reduced.
Note
snapshot TP reduced again, not getting near the expansion I had wanted earlier.
Note
snapshot taking first profit at london high.
Note
snapshot crazy scenes. TP is never guaranteed.
Note
TP2 hit, what a battle this one was ffs. snapshot
Note
snapshot glad with the TP selection here. look at the reaction both times. Done for the week for obvious reasons.
