Bullish news stopped out. The ANZ Business Confidence Index in New Zealand lifted marginally to -37.1 in October 2018 from a decade low of -38.3 in a month earlier. Expectations for employment (-0.3 vs -1.3 in September), ease of credit (-31.4 vs -33.2) investment (-3.3 vs -9.2), and pricing (32.2 vs 30.2) improved.
