Lonjakan minyak sebelum pasaran dibuka dianggap pencetus kepada hari dagangan yang baik (Risk On) namun volatiliti kembali dan kemudian harga ditutup lebih rendah. Lebih banyak volatiliti sepanjang minggu walaupun pemotongan sebanyak 1 milion tong dijanjikan oleh Arab Saudi.
