Balaji Amines formed BIg candle after Q4 Results Wihin 30 mins, the stock formed a significant candle of 12%
Increased volatility around stock earnings is a common phenomenon in financial markets.
As companies release their quarterly or annual earnings reports, BIg investors eagerly anticipate the results, which can lead to heightened trading activity.
Positive earnings surprises may cause a surge in buying activity, driving up stock prices, while Negative surprises can trigger selling pressure, leading to price declines.
Consequently, during earnings seasons, markets can experience sharp movements in stock prices therefore short term trading becomes Risky
Intraday
A FEW PARAMETERS TO FILTER STOCKS FOR INTRADAY TRADINGThere are few things to be considered before selecting a stock for intraday such as,
1)Volume
2)Price
3)Mimicking Stocks
VOLUME:
Always Select a stock which has a high liquidity, which means the stock should have at least average daily volume of above 1 million (10 lakhs).
PRICE:
Many would not consider this as a important parameter. but it must be considered. Choosing penny stocks for intraday is not a good choice at all. Always prefer stocks trading above Rs.100 for intraday
MIMICKING STOCKS:
Look for the stocks which move in sync with the index.
So when the index moves upward/downward, there is a high possibility for the stock to go up/down similarly.
Few such examples are
1)Nifty & Reliance,
2)Bank nifty& HDFC Bank,
3)Nifty IT & TCS.
SUMMARY
#Make a List of 10 stocks, which have good volume (>10 lakhs) & price above 100
#Try to Pick stocks from F&O category as they are the most liquid stocks & these stocks can't be manipulated easily by the operators.
#Make sure the 10 stocks are from various industries. Because if we pick stocks from same industries, they are likely to move in tandem.
#As a beginner, one should trade within only those 10 stocks every single day for at least 6 months. The reason behind is, every stock has a certain behaviour of its own & when we trade same stocks for a long time, one will get to know the in & out of the stocks & eventually be better at trading.
#Another good reason is, every stock is subjected to move according to its corporate action ( Earnings, AGM, Dividends etc.,) So it becomes easy to pay attention to the news related to a particular company, when we trade very few stocks.
SAMPLE 10 STOCKS LIST:
Finance
1)SBI
2)ICICI
Pharma
3)SUNPHARMA
4)BIOCON
Auto
5)MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA
6)TATA MOTORS
IT
7)INFY
8)TECHM
Fmcg
9)HINDUNILEVER
Metal
10)TATA STEEL

How to select the Right Time Frame for Day Trading (Intraday) ?The selection of right time frame for day trading (Intraday) is a very subjective question and is frequently asked by the novice traders. The selection of the time frame depends on many parameters. But according to my experience it depends on mainly two parameters.
1. Stoploss
2. Signal strength of your trading strategy.
The time frame from 1 minute to 1 hour is best for day trading. Let us discuss these parameters in detail.
1. Stoploss: Each time frame has a different stoploss level. The higher time frame has a deep stoploss level as compared to the lower time frame. So, we have to select the time frame according to the stoploss or we can say that the right time frame depends on the amount of money you afford to lose in one trade . Before entering into the trade, check the stoploss for different time frames and then choose the time frame according to the bearable amount of money to lose in one trade.
2. Signal strength of your trading strategy: Whatever strategy you choose to trade, the entry and exit signals are always strong on the higher time frame as compared to the lower time frame because the lower time frames has high volatility as compared to the higher time frames. It means the success rate is high on the higher time frames as compared to the lower time frames.
Both of these parameters are directly proportional to each other. So, the selection of the time frame for day trading must depend on both of these parameters. We have to select the time frame on which our signal strength is good and also the comfortable amount of money which we afford to lose in one trade.
Thanks
Not every swing high is a Fake Breakout !Good morning traders.
If you have entered long at the high of the green candle as shown in the chart you would have thrown out of the market by taking your SL and kept you thinking Oh! It must be a Fake Breakout.
-->We all know that market structure is combination of waves.
-->These waves will follow Primary trend, Secondary trend and all the minor trends on the way.
-->In the Bullish momentum - Price will form Higher highs and higher lows.
-->In the Bearish momentum price will form Lower highs and lower lows.
-->If we observe the recent path the market is following, it has formed higher highs and higher lows.(Bullish If i have to say)
-->Before Friday the recent swing low the market has formed at 17637 level.
About the fake breakout - The price level it broke has hardly respected once. If the price has respected that level 2-3 times and then if it breaks it and comes back into range then we may call it a fake breakout or if it has broken the previous swing low then we can consider it as a fake breakout.
Since none of the above mentioned has happened its just be a another swing high and market is still in up move.
Above concept is done.
Now on Friday market has formed a new swing high 17830 level and major swing low is 17637 levels. If price can go past 17835 on Monday then swing low will be shifted to 17723 levels.
Then why I post shorting trades in the Ideas?
I try to plan my trades at the extremes (at swing lows and swing highs).
There is no point in going long at a swing high unless our stop loss is huge.
That is why in a bull structure I plan to buy at swing lows or I plan to short at swing highs both of them will have small SL and High rewards. Do you agree with me in this aspect?
If we observe our recent market openings, it has opened with gap ups. So I don't want to risk huge SL for limited intraday up move that's why I plan contra trades.
On Monday I will be cautions because SGX Nifty is showing 18000 + and it will make it as a good supply zone.
I will observe the price action in smaller time frames and plan my trade.
The future market direction will be decided at these levels.
--> What we need to observe?
--> Whether the market is accumulating at this level or Distributing at this level.
I have written so much in this ,I will write more based on the response I get from this. I know few of these will be confusing, do let me know If you want to know about particular concepts then I will have Idea about what I should be writing for.

Gap up / gap down intraday strategy with simple entry / exitI get queries from a lot of people who don't want to study technical analysis much.
They're just focused on getting a predefined trading strategy, which they can use effectively in the market without looking much at the charts .
So, in this video, I share a strategy which has been given really good results and it works a lot of times and I believe the probability of this particular strategy is close to around 65 to 70%.
It has simple entry and exit rules, and you can only apply this particular strategy when the market opens gap up or gap down.
See, whenever the market opens gap up or gap down, there is high volatile period of the market during the beginning half an hour or an hour.
And in that period of time,if you place a trade, then you have a good probability if market moves as per expectation.
As you can see these days, nifty and back nifty have been creating gap up and gap down opening almost on a daily basis.
In this case, the first rule is that if the market opens gap up by more than half a percent.
So for example, if bank nifty opens gap up by more then 200 points. , then only you can apply this strategy.
And on the other hand, if nifty opens gap up or gap down by more than 50 or 60 points, then only you should think of applying this particular strategy.
Small gaps do not count in this strategy.
So if bank nifty gaps down or gaps up by only 50- 60 points, then avoid this strategy altogether.
See, whenever the market is opening gap up or gap down, there are two possibilities.
The market might continue the current trend.
For example, if the market opens gap up, the chances are that the market might move higher, or the other possibility is that the market might go sideways the whole day.
So ,in this case, whenever you see the market opening gap up or gap down by more than half a percent, just have to follow this simple procedure.
Just plot the 15 minute chart with a 20 exponential moving average.
Why 20 exponential moving average because the market usually gets good support and resistance around the 20 moving average.
You can expect the market to stall around the moving average for a lot of times if you take a trade.
So ,you just have to plot the 15 minute chart, and if the market gaps up or gaps down, you just have to watch the first 15 minute candle.
So if the market opens gap up and it forms a bullish candle.
Then , what you can do is you can sell puts if price breaks the first 15M candle high. You can sell puts with the stop loss at the low of the candle.
If the market comes below the low of the candlestick the first 15 minute bar, then you exit your position and book the loss.
Why sell puts?
The idea behind selling puts is that during the first 15-30 minutes, the volatility is on a very higher side during that period.
And if at that point of time you start to sell options, then with the passage of time, as the market starts to move sideways, the volatility reduces.
And, what occurs is a concept called IV Crush.
The volatility starts to reduce very quickly and that will give you a benefit if you sell a put, even if the market goes sideways.
So for example, the market formed a very big bullish candle, and the criteria is if it crosses the high of the candle ,sell puts .
So, the whole day, if the market is moving sideways/upwards , the volatility crush will start to happen.
And with the passage of time, you'll start to see the benefit of the IV Crush and the time decay.
So this is a very handy strategy which you can apply.
Always remember, keep the stop loss below of the first 15M candle.
It's a very effective technique, and it's based upon gap openings.
And ,the first 15 minutes usually tell us who is on the stronger side, who's winning , buyers or sellers.
So make sure the gap is big and whatever bar is being formed in the first 15 minutes.
If the bar is bullish, you sell a put If the price crosses the high of that candle stick, and stop plus below the low of that candlestick.
It's an effective rule based strategy and you can back test it on nifty and bank nifty.
And you can also check its reliability, its effectiveness, you can also add this particular strategy in your tool kit.
So I hope this strategy will provide some sort of value to you in your trading.
And if you find the video helpful, don't forget to like this and share it and also comment your thoughts.
Thank you very much and take care.

An Intraday trading system with a High winning rate using VWAP
Dear reader, this is a full-fledged trading system. If you follow all the mentioned steps correctly, you will definitely have a great winning ratio. You can back-test this system on any instrument, stock, commodity, forex, etc.
This system should only be used to take “Long” trades using the 5 min time frame on a stock that has sufficient liquidity.
Steps to follow:
1. Look for Bullish divergence – The first and foremost thing that you need to do is to look for the Bullish divergence. The bullish divergence must be either strong, medium, or hidden bullish divergence. Ignore the weak bullish divergence. If you don’t know about bullish divergence, you should read my thread on it.
Here’s the link:
2. Look for early signs of reversal, after the divergence has occurred – As soon as you spot divergence, look for different signs of reversal. These can include either some reversal, neutral candlestick patterns or a sharp curve in RSI along with the formation of some bullish candlestick.
3. Look for candlestick patterns – You should look for the candlesticks such as a hammer, bullish engulfing, inverted hammer, a railway track pattern, morning star pattern.
4. When to enter the trade? –You should wait for the price to close above the VWAP and there must be some sort of increase in volume which confirms the buying interest. When the price closes above the VWAP with a good volume, enter the trade. Until both of these conditions are met, do not enter the trade.
5. How to set stop loss? – The stop loss can be either the swing low or the low of the reversal candle. Also, you can either use a fixed stop loss or trail your stop loss to the succeeding swing lows.
6. How to choose the target? – The minimum target should be the previous swing high or the previous supply zone. You can keep trailing your position if the stock keeps giving multiple breakouts.
This system is highly effective and you can modify it according to your needs. You can read and revise this post until you master the concepts. I hope you find this post useful. Also, if anyone is interested in getting a PDF version of this thread, then you can message me, I'll provide it.
