Banknifty Trading Strategy for 8 Feb 22Jusy like yesterday, today my view on Banknifty is bearish . I am expecting a really good move which should be caught by my system; here's what it looks like:
In this chart I've marked 2 price levels which have been determined based on previous day high ( PDH ) and previous day low ( PDL ) of Banknifty . The zone between these two price levels is a strict "No Trade Zone".
If Banknifty crosses/opens or stays above the PDH , we will be looking for long opportunities and if Banknifty crosses/opens or stays below the PDL , we will be looking for short opportunities.
Entry criteria:
Bullish case: Breakout to be followed by retracement which in turn would be followed by a 5 minute candle close above the DAY HIGH.
Bearish case: Breakout to be followed by retracement which in turn would be followed by a 5 minute candle close below the DAY LOW.
Stop Loss criteria:
Ideally the stop loss should be palced just below (in bullish case) or just above (in bearish ) the nearest retracement on the spot chart; this is a just a guide though - in some cases you might actually have to deploy your own discretion. Assuming you're trading at-the-money (ATM) options - the stop loss wouldbe half the stop loss on the spot chart of Banknifty .
Take profit criteria:
ATM Option Buying (Next Week Expiry): Enter with 2 lots. Exit lot number 1 at 1:1 RR. Once 1:1 RR is hit, set Stop Loss of lot 2 to cost and take profit of the same at 1:3 RR.
ATM Option Selling (Current Week Expiry): Enter with 2 lots. Exit lot number 1 at 1:1 RR. Once 1:1 RR is hit, trail profit in lot 2 with the help of 15 EMA on the option chart; exit lot 2 on 5 minute candle close above 15 EMA .
Please note the given zones are valid only until the end of the day. Any open positions must be closed by 15:20 PM IST.

#Banknifty Trading Plan for 4 Feb 2022Today my view on Banknifty is bearish. I am expecting a really good move in the second half of the day which should be caught by my system; here's what it looks like:
In this chart we've marked 2 price levels which have been determined based on previous day high ( PDH ) and previous day low ( PDL ) of Banknifty .

Gold Trading Plan for 3-4 Feb 2022OANDA:XAUUSD has been trading in a very tight range over the past 2 day - which can be observed from the markings on my chart.
The Day Highs and Day Lows of the past 2 days have actually been roughly the same.
This makes the Previous Day High (PDH) and Previous Day Low (PDL) from today's perspective very good breakout levels - which I have marked on the chart.
The zone between these two price levels is a strict "No Trade Zone"; this has been marked on the chart as well.
If XAU/USD crosses/opens or stays above the PDH , we will be looking for long opportunities and if XAU/USD crosses/opens or stays below the PDL , we will be looking for short opportunities.
Entry criteria:
Bullish case: Breakout above PDH on 5 minute chart to be followed by retracement which in turn would be followed by a 5 minute candle close above the DAY HIGH. Since the market has already opened with a gap now I will only be looking for a retracement followed by Day High Breakout.
Bearish case: Breakout below PDL on 5 minute chart to be followed by retracement which in turn would be followed by a 5 minute candle close below the DAY LOW.
Stop Loss criteria:
Ideally the stop loss should be palced just below (in bullish case) or just above (in bearish ) the nearest retracement on the spot chart; this is a just a guide though - in some cases you might actually have to deploy your own discretion.
Take profit criteria:
One may book 1/3rd quantity at 1:1 RR, 1/3rd based on 5 minute candle close above EMA 15 (in bearish case) and below EMA 15 (in bullish case) and 1/3rd based on dynamically adjusting stop loss based on typical trend trading strategies. Also after 1:1 RR has been acheived one may choose to adjust max SL to cost.
Please note the given zones are valid only until the end of the day.
For today, I am biased towards the upside. But like always - I trade the price and the system and not my expectations.
Banknifty Trading Plan for 3 Feb 2022Today I'm again bullish on Banknifty . Expecting a really good move ahead which should be caught by my system; here's what it looks like:

Banknifty Trading Plan for 31 Jan 2022I won't be trading in NIFTY BANK today and probably until after the Union Budget 2022 owing to extremely high premiums in the market - an indication of extreme volatality up ahead which can put a strain on capital.
Moreover, now until the Budget Day the markets will react a lot more to news rather than price levels which will drastically reduce the effectiveness of my trading system.

In this chart we've marked 2 price levels which have been determined based on previous day high ( PDH ) and previous day low ( PDL ) of Banknifty . The zone between these two price levels is a strict "No Trade Zone".
If Banknifty crosses/opens or stays above the PDH , we will be looking for long opportunities and if Banknifty crosses/opens or stays below the PDL , we will be looking for short opportunities. Given that it is has given a gap-up opening above PDH - for now I am looking only for long opportunities.

Bullish case: Breakout to be followed by retracement which in turn would be followed by a 5 minute candle close above the DAY HIGH. Since the market has already opened with a gap now I will only be looking for a retracement followed by Day High Breakout.

#Ethereum Trading Plan 27-28 Jan 2022Given yesterday's wild moves especially post the Fed's hawkish announcement I hold a neutral stance today as it remains to be seen which way the market wishes to lean towards; although to be fair, the signs do look bearish. But anyway we have a system and we trade that. Here's what it looks like:
In this chart of Ethereum I have marked 4 price levels which have been determined based on a proprietary calculation that I have developed. The zone between the top-most and bottom-most price levels is a strict "No Trade Zone".
If Ethereum's price crosses the top-most price level, we will be looking for long opportunities and if Ethereum's price crosses the bottom-most price level, we will be looking for short opportunities.
Entry criteria:
Bullish case: Enter as soon as a 5-minute candle CLOSES above the top-most price level.
Bearish case: Enter as soon as a 5-minute candle CLOSES below the bottom-most price level.
Stop Loss criteria:
Risk: 2% of capital of per trade.
Bullish case: Just below the second price level from the top.
Bearish case: Just above the second price level from the bottom.
Take profit criteria:
I personally follow a system wherein I do nothing until 1:1 RR is achieved. But post 1:1 RR is achieved, I adjust stop loss to cost. I then exit 1/3rd of entered quantity based on 5 minute candle close below ( bullish case) or above ( bearish case) 15 EMA . I exit 1/3rd of entered quantity at fixed take-profit level of 1:3 RR. And I exit the final 1/3rd of entered quantity based on a system of setting stop losses that are dynamically adjusted to the nearest retracement after a Day High Breakout (in bullish case) or Day Low Breakout (in bearish case).
I have also experimented with systems wherein you can set take-profit at a fixed level of 1:3 RR or alternatively after 1:1 is achieved book full quantity vased on 5 minute candle close below ( bullish case) or above ( bearish case) 15 EMA . Both of these alternative systems have also been profitable.
Please note the given zones are valid only until the end of the day. Any open positions must be closed by 05:25 AM IST which is around when the day is about to end in the cryptocurrency markets.
Also please note: according to the rules of my system, I don't take more than 3 trades per day on any asset.

#Banknifty Trading Plan for 27 Jan 2022As a result of yesterday's relatively hawkish statements by Powell during the Fed Meet - Banknifty has opened in negative territory right off the bat. Personally I feel bears will dominate the day but owing to the broader market being close to key support levels - I have to assume a neutral stance for now. But does my stance matter? Not at all - because me and my community members trade the price and the system and not expectations.
Speaking about the system:
In this chart we've marked 2 price levels which have been determined based on previous day high ( PDH ) and previous day low ( PDL ) of Banknifty . The zone between these two price levels is a strict "No Trade Zone".
If Banknifty crosses/opens or stays above the PDH , we will be looking for long opportunities and if Banknifty crosses/opens or stays below the PDL , we will be looking for short opportunities.
P.S. I hold a neutral stance today as I am not quite sure about the direction towards which the market is leaning; BTC seems to be close to a major support but also has been showing significant weakness over the past few days. But like always - my view does not matter as I trade the price and the system and not expectations.

I hold a neutral stance today as I am not quite sure about the direction towards which the market is leaning; BTC seems to be close to a major support but also has been showing significant weakness over the past few days. This has implications for Ethereum given the correlation between the prices of the two. But like always - my view does not matter as I trade the price and the system and not expectations.
