About
Delta Corp is currently operates in the Gaming, Hospitality and online skill gaming segment.(Source : 202003-01 Annual Report Page No:113)
Key Points
Business Mix
1) Casino Gaming (80% in Q1 FY25 vs 71% in FY22): The company has a major market share in Goa, with a net capacity of 2,000 gaming positions. It owns 3 of the 6 offshore gaming licenses issued in Goa, 2 land-based casinos in Goa, and one in Sikkim, including Deltin Royale and Deltin JAQK, among the country’s 2 largest offshore casinos. The segment gross revenue grew by 50% between FY22 and FY24. The YoY growth in FY24 was flattish due to the divestment of a casino in Nepal, and dry docking of a casino vessel for nearly 5 weeks.
2) Online Gaming (15% in Q1 FY25 vs 21% in FY22): The company owns and operates the online poker site Adda52.com. The segment gross revenue declined by 9% YoY between FY22 and FY24, due to a substantial increase in GST, since October 2023.
3) Hospitality (5% in Q1 FY25 vs 8% in FY22): The company owns and operates 2 hotels including Deltin Suites, a 106-room, all-suite hotel with a casino in Goa, and The Deltin, a 176-room, a five-star integrated resort spread over more than 10 acres at Daman. This segment's revenue declined by 17% between FY22 and FY24.
GST Demand: The GST authorities issued a notice to Delta Corporation and its subsidiaries demanding tax on the entire "betting value" rather than on the net gaming revenue (i.e., the commission or fee that the casino earns). The tax authorities argue that the total face value of bets placed by players should be taxed at 28%.
Tax Base Dispute: Delta Corporation contends that only the gross gaming revenue (GGR) or the rake (i.e., the commission earned by the company) should be subject to GST, not the entire value of bets placed. The difference between taxing the total betting value and the rake is substantial and has led to 23,200 Crs of Contingent Liability.
Entry into Real Estate
The company has formed a strategic partnership with Alpha Alternatives Fund Advisors LLP and Peninsula Land for real estate development. This Real Estate Fund will invest Rs. 765 Cr in residential redevelopment projects, land parceling in the MMR region, and plotted developments around Mumbai, Alibaug, Khopoli, Karjat, and Pune. The resort will include a 5-star hotel, electronic casino, theme park, mall, gaming zones, and recreational areas. Although all approvals are in place, the project is on hold due to GST issues. By January 2024, the company had invested around Rs. 170-180 Cr in the project.
Divestment
The company has divested its stake in Deltin Casino International in Nepal by the sale of a 100% stake in Caravella Entertainment Pvt Ltd, for an enterprise value of Rs. 80 Cr.

Research report on RSI for beginnersLet's break down each point and explain them ::::::::::::::::: Happy learning
**Basic Concepts:**
1. **What is RSI?**
- RSI is like a traffic light for stocks in the Indian market. It tells you if a stock is moving too fast or too slow. If RSI is high, the stock might be overexcited, and if it's low, it might be tired.
2. **Calculation of RSI:**
- RSI is calculated by looking at how much a stock's price went up and how much it went down in the last 14 days. This gives you a number between 0 and 100.
3. **Interpreting RSI:**
- When RSI is above 70 in the Indian market, it's like a stock being at a crowded party – it might be time to leave soon. When RSI is below 30, it's like a stock being alone in a quiet room – it might be time to join the party.
4. **Divergence:**
- If a stock's price is doing one thing, and RSI is doing the opposite, it's like a disagreement. In India, this can signal a possible change in the stock's direction.
5. **Using RSI for Trend Confirmation:**
- RSI can help you confirm if a trend is strong in the Indian market. If RSI is above 70 in a rising market, the trend might continue. If RSI is below 30 in a falling market, the trend might keep going down.
**Intermediate Concepts:**
6. **RSI Period and Sensitivity:**
- You can change the "14-day" period to make RSI more or less sensitive to stock movements in India. Shorter periods are like a faster reaction, and longer periods are like a slower reaction.
7. **Centerline Crossovers:**
- RSI crossing the 50 mark in the Indian market is like a stock changing its mood. Above 50, it's becoming bullish (optimistic); below 50, it's becoming bearish (pessimistic).
8. **Overbought and Oversold Confirmation:**
- Overbought (above 70) in India can be like a stock being too hot to handle. Oversold (below 30) is like a stock being on a big discount. But remember, check other signals too.
**Advanced Concepts:**
9. **Hidden Divergence:**
- Hidden divergence in the Indian market is like spotting a hidden treasure. When a stock's price is doing something special, but RSI disagrees, it can be a hidden signal of a trend change.
10. **RSI and Support/Resistance:**
- RSI levels can act as bouncy floors (support) or glass ceilings (resistance) for stocks in India. If RSI bounces off a level, it can be a good entry or exit point.
11. **Multiple Timeframes:**
- Think of this like looking at a movie frame by frame. Combining RSI analysis on different timeframes in India gives you a full picture of the stock's behavior.
12. **RSI with Other Indicators:**
- RSI is like one player in a cricket team. When you have a whole team of indicators working together in the Indian market, you can make more accurate decisions.
13. **RSI Strategy Development:**
- This is like creating your own recipe for a perfect dish. Traders often create their unique RSI-based strategies in India with specific rules for when to buy and sell.
14. **Risk Management:**
- Just like a goalkeeper in football, you need to protect your goal (money). In India, set limits on how much you're willing to lose (stop-loss) and how much profit you're happy with (take-profit).
15. **Backtesting and Optimization:**
- Backtesting is like practicing before the big game. In India, you can test your RSI strategies on past data and tweak them to find the best ones for the future.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Formula :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Relative Strength Index (RSI) Formula:
RSI = 100 -
RSI (Relative Strength Index) is calculated using the following steps:
Calculate Daily Price Changes: Find the price changes (typically closing prices) from one day to the next. If today's closing price is higher than yesterday's, it's considered a "gain," and if it's lower, it's a "loss."
Calculate Average Gain and Average Loss: Calculate the average gain and average loss over a specified period, usually 14 days. The average gain is the sum of gains over the period divided by 14, and the average loss is the sum of losses divided by 14.
Calculate the Relative Strength (RS): Divide the average gain by the average loss to get the relative strength (RS). RS = Average Gain / Average Loss.
Calculate the RSI: Use the RS to calculate the RSI using the formula RSI = 100 - .
Further Explanation:
RSI is used to determine whether a stock or market is overbought (too high) or oversold (too low). Here's a more detailed explanation:
RSI values range from 0 to 100. When RSI is above 70, it's typically considered overbought, suggesting that the stock might be due for a price correction or a pullback in the Indian market.
When RSI is below 30, it's usually considered oversold, indicating that the stock might be undervalued or due for a potential price increase in the Indian market.
Traders often use RSI to identify potential entry and exit points. For example, if RSI crosses above 70, it may be a signal to sell or take profits. Conversely, if RSI crosses below 30, it may be a signal to buy or enter a position.
Hidden divergence occurs when the price of a stock in the Indian market makes a higher high (in an uptrend) or a lower low (in a downtrend), but the RSI fails to do the same. This can be a more subtle sign of a trend reversal.
RSI can be used in conjunction with other technical indicators to enhance trading strategies in the Indian market.

Basics of Option's Delta: With ExamplesOption's DELTA represents the change in price of an option with respect to change in price of an underlying.
Let's understand briefly with the help of Nifty example.
1️⃣
In the above Nifty example,
17750 is an At the Money CE option.
Delta of ATM CE is near 0.5
Which means that if spot moves 10 points, 17750 CE will move 5 points.
Normally ATM options are highly volatile options.
2️⃣
17700 is slightly In the Money CE.
Delta is 0.7, means if spot moves up 10 points, the CE option will move up by 7 points.
Volatility is fairly high in this one too but less compared to 17750.
⚡If you open the chart of the above options, you will see spikes with lot of wicks above and below the candles (if market stays around these levels). Also, there will be a lot of breakout/breakdown failures over the swing highs and lows in the intraday. This is due to highly volatile nature of ATM options.
3️⃣
17650 and 17600 are deeper In the Money CE options.
You can see that the delta is around 0.9
It means that if index moves 10 points, these CE option will move 8-9 points also.
These options are less volatile compared to ATM options.
⚡The deeper the CE option, the higher would be the delta, but the value of Delta never exceeds 1.
You should note that deep ITM options just behave like the underlying Futures. Means a 1-point movement in the underlying equals 1 point move in the option.
So, if you don't want to trade futures for some reason, you can trade with deep ITM options.
⚡⚡Remember that Delta varies as the market moves.
Ex if market moves down by 100 points, in this example, then Delta of 17650 CE will become 0.5 as it will be ATM at that point.
This behavior along with higher Theta of ATM needs more attention.
⚡Needless to mention, the Delta of Out of the Money CE options remains less than 0.5 and it keeps on decreasing as we move deeper into OTM CE options.
Ex Delta of 17900 CE is 0.05 while publishing this post on the expiry day. This is the reason that an OTM CE will have bare minimum movement with respect to movement in the underlying.
Disclaimer: I don't call myself an option expert and I am not much into complex option strategies. But this is the least that one should know as an option trader.

WHAT IS OPTION GREEKS ?NSE:BANKNIFTY
Introduction
Option trading is an exciting process and almost every market participant has at least experienced the thrill of trading options, almost all the time with unsatisfactory results.
To avoid such accidents an option trader seeks different tools to trade sucssessfully,
The most important of tools are the Option Greeks and they are usually the first metric looked upon by option traders.
What are Option Greeks?
Options are derivatives of underlying assets ( curd is a derivative of milk, so the change in the quality of milk will result in a change in the quality of the curd derived ) similarly, Greeks are a way to measure the sensitivity of the price of the option to various factors.
The price of the option premium does not always move in conjunction with the price of the underlying asset and it is important to understand the different factors that affect the change in the price of the premium. With the help of the option greeks, a trader will be able to measure the rate of change of different factors affecting the option premium.
# You can check the option greeks by using zerodha option chain or any other trading platform
What is DELTA?
The first Greek is Delta, which quantifies how much an option's price is projected to fluctuate for every $1 that the underlying securities or index changes in price.
For example,A Delta of 0.50 indicates that the option's price will fluctuate 50 point for every 100 point movement in the price of the underlying stock or index.
#Delta for call option ranges between 0 to 1 and for put option ranges between -1 to 0.
>ATM options have a delta of 0.5
>ITM option have a delta of close to 1
>OTM options have a delta of close to 0.
Delta = Change in option premium/ Unit change in the price of the underlying asset.
#The following example should help you understand this better –
Nifty is currently trading at 16000
Option Strike = 15900 Call Option
Premium = 150
Delta of the option = + 0.60
Nifty is expected to reach 16200
What is the likely option premium value at 16200 ?
Well, this is fairly easy to calculate. We know the Delta of the option is 0.60, which means for every 1 point change in the underlying the premium is expected to
change by 0.60 points.
We are expecting the underlying to change by 200 points (16200 – 16000), hence the premium is supposed to increase by
= 200*0.60
= 120
the new option premium is expected to trade around 150 + 120 = 270
What ia gamma?
Gamma is used to measure the delta’s change relative to the changes in the price of the underlying asset.
If the price of the underlying asset increases by 1point, the option’s delta will change by the gamma amount.
The gamma value will also range between 0 and 1.
Gamma = Change in an options delta / Unit change in the price of the underlying asset.
What is Theta?
The Theta or time decay factor is the rate at which an option loses value as time passes. Theta is expressed in points lost per day when all other conditions remain the same.
theta is always shown as negative number because option value is depriciating as the time is passing.
Theta is the biggest enemy of option buyer cause it reduces the favourable outcome of option buyer by depriciating the option price.
for example,A Theta of -15 indicates that the option premium will lose -15 points for every day that passes by.
if an option is trading at Rs.290/- with a theta of -15 then it will trade at Rs.275/- the following day when other factors remain constant.
Theta = Change in an option premium / Change in time to expiry.
This is the graph of how premium erodes as a time to expiry approaches. This is also called the ‘Time Decay’ graph.
What is Vega ?
It is intended to tell you how much an option’s price should move when the volatility of the underlying security or index increases or decreases. It is the change of an option premium for a given change (typically 1%) in the underlying volatility.
1. Vega measures how the implied volatility (IV) of a stock affects the price of the options on that stock.
2. Volatility is one of the most important factors affecting the value of options.
3.A drop in Vega will typically cause both calls and puts to lose value.
4. An increase in Vega will typically cause both calls and puts to gain value.
Vega = Change in an option premium / Change in volatility.
What can option Greeks do for you?
1.Help you measure the possibility that an option will expire in the money (Delta).
2.Estimate how much the Delta will change when the stock price changes (Gamma).
3.Get a feel for how much value your option might lose each day as it approaches expiration (Theta).
4.Understand how sensitive an option might be to large price swings in the underlying stock (Vega).
“With the help of Greeks, an options trader can make more analyzed decisions about which options to trade, which strike price to trade and when to trade.
Since there are a variety of market factors that can affect the price of an option in some way, assuming all other factors remain unchanged,
we can use Greeks and determine the impact of each factor when its value changes.”
