Singapore Shares Rise Amid Overnight Gains in Europe, North America; Anchun Soars 14%

Singapore's Strait Times Index rose on Wednesday, following overnight gains in the North American and European markets due to the easing of tensions in the Middle East.

During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,282.60 and 3,308.12, ending 0.62% or 20.41 points higher at 3,293.13.

In company news, Anchun International’s BBTX shares surged over 14% after the company signed a strategic partnership agreement with Stamicarbon through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hunan Anchun Advanced Technology.

China Everbright Water U9E established an asset-backed product scheme in China.

Soilbuild Construction’s SS7P was awarded contracts with an aggregate value of SG$81 million.
