India stocks, rupee, swaps, call at 3:30 p.m. IST

STOCKS:

The benchmark BSE Sensex SENSEX fell 187.31 points, or 0.31%, to 60,858.43, while the broader NSE index NIFTY lost 61.3 points, or 0.34%, to 18,104.05, as weak U.S. economic data stoked recession fears in global markets.

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee USDINR weakened 0.15% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 81.36 per dollar tracking its Asian emerging market counterparts which declined after a batch of weak U.S. data stoked worries about a slowdown in the world's top economy.

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

Benchmark 10-year bond (IN072632G=CC) was quoted at 99.63 rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.3137%; vs previous close of 7.3243% tracking U.S. yields as weak economic data in the world's largest economy prompted policy-pivot bets.

OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:

The one-year overnight indexed swap rate (INRAMONMI1Y=) was down 6 bps at 6.58%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate (INRSMONMI5Y=) fell 4 bps to 6.10%.

CALL MONEY/REPOS:

India's overnight call money (INROND=) rate was down 25 bps at 5.95% against 6.20% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate (INTREPTOT=TCCL) was at 6.10%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.0285%.
