Ljubljana stock exchange indices end winning streak

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), May 15 (SeeNews) - The two share indices of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed Wednesday's trading session in red territory after snapping an eight-day winning streak, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index ended at 1,458.56 points, down 0.65%, whereas the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, finished 0.65% lower at 1,973.86 points, LJSE data showed.

Energy group Petrol [LJE:PETG] paced the blue-chip decliners, losing 1.38% to close at 28.50 euro.

Lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) [LJE:NLBR] was another major loser, as its share price declined 1.38% to 28.50 euro.

Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the highest turnover on the stock exchange, of 569,582 euro. Krka's share price declined 0.79% to 125.0 euro.

The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 1.9 million euro ($2.1 million) on Wednesday from 2.3 million euro on Tuesday.
