Energy giant Woodside's first-quarter revenue falls 12% sequentially

Australia's Woodside Energy WDS on Friday posted a 12% sequential fall in first-quarter revenue, hit by lower realised underlying oil and liquefied natural gas prices and falling volumes.

The country's biggest independent oil and gas producer, which recently ditched its $52 billion merger talks with smaller rival Santos STO, said revenue for the three months ended March 31 came in at $2.97 billion, compared with $3.36 billion reported in the prior quarter.
