While standard property investment can be part of your portfolio, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) offer an alternative type of brick and mortar exposure, via companies that own, operate, or finance income-generating real estate. This covers industrial property like warehouses and self-storage units, or commercial property like offices and retail stores. If you're looking into this industry, REITs may be worth checking out.

These all boast market capitalizations greater than 10bn and cover firms with industrial, commerical, and residential real estate operations.
