Telefónica Chile SA engages in the provision of telecommunication services. It operates through the following segments: Fixed Telephony, Communications and Company Data, Television Services, and Other segments. The Fixed Telephony segment consists of primary services, connections and line installations, value-added services, marketing of terminal equipment, broadband, dedicated lines, international long distance services and leasing of circuit means, and others. The Communications and Company Data segment includes sale and lease of telecommunications equipment and the sale of networks to corporate clients, the leasing of networks associated with public or private projects, and data transmission services. The Television Services segment comprises of the development, installation, maintenance, marketing, operation and exploitation, directly and indirectly, of cable television, satellite, broadband, or any other physical or technical means. The Other segment is composed of logistics, personnel, and administration services. The company was founded on November 18, 1930 and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.
