About Chile Imports
Chile main imports are: consumer goods (30 percent of total imports), energy products including crude and refined oil, coal, gas and lubricants (21 percent of total purchases); chemicals (6 percent); metallic products (5 percent); cars (4 percent); wearing apparel (4 percent); parts, other machinery and equipment (3 percent) and truck and cargo vehicles (3 percent). Major import partners are: China (24 percent of total imports), the United States (21 percent), Brazil (10 percent), Argentina (6 percent) and Japan and Germany (3 percent each). Others include: Mexico, Spain, Peru and Colombia.
