Quaker Oats Company is a Chicago-based American manufacturer of oatmeal and other food and beverage products. Its products include cereals, snack bars, cookies, and rice snacks, as well as other products, such as breakfast shakes, muffins, yogurt, granola bites, oatmeal pancake mixes, and tortilla mixes. The Quaker Oats trademark was registered in 1877 by Henry Parsons Crowell and the company was established in 1901. The company changed its name to Quaker Foods and Beverages after being acquired by PepsiCo, Inc., in 2001.
