RNEW tracks an index of 50 US stocks that derive at least 50% of their revenues from green infrastructure businesses perceived to facilitate the holistic use of green energy and provide positive environmental impacts. Stocks are selected based on their ties to seven sub-themes: eco-friendly transportation, renewable or low carbon energy, creation or distribution of clean fuel, green infrastructure and equipment, pollution control, waste management, and green construction. The sub-themes are subject to change. Stocks are selected and weighted based on a modified market-cap process. Individual stocks are capped at 5% exposure and each sub-theme is capped at 30%. The funds holdings may include stocks of all capitalizations, including small-cap and micro-cap stocks, which may become concentrated at times. The index is reconstituted annually and rebalanced semi-annually in June and December.
