Brands & Market position Dabur has established brands in the natural healthcare, personal care, and food products segments. It has ~63% market share in the health supplements segment (Chyawanprash), ~16.5% in the oral care (toothpaste) segment, and 15% in the hair oil segment. It is the market leader (around 60% share) in the fruit juice segment, with its Real and Active brands.
International Footprint Dabur's products also have a huge presence in overseas markets and are today available in over 120 countries across the globe. Its brands are highly popular in the Middle East, SAARC countries, Africa, the US, Europe, and Russia. Dabur's overseas revenue today accounts for over 26% of the total turnover. Manufacturing Facilities The Company has 13 manufacturing locations in India and 8 manufacturing facilities located in UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria, South Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Distribution Network Dabur has a large distribution network, with over 3.2 million retail locations and a strong presence in both urban and rural areas. Dabur uses third-party contract manufacturers for flexible production support, Dabur added 40 new third-party manufacturers and if the volumes for these new products grow, Dabur brings them in-house and sets up production lines at its own plants.
R&D Infrastructure The Co. started its first R&D center in 1919 and conducted its first clinical research in the 1990s. The Co. conducts clinical studies at its R&D center where it employs 100+ scientists. The company invested ~42 Crs towards R&D in FY22., Co. has 13 Patents Granted to date & 3 Patents waiting for approval. Dabur’s global IPR portfolio comprises 2,827 registered trademarks and 811 pending trademark applications.
