EURUSD index in the next time?

The Euro today recovered slightly after the previous plunge. Yesterday (August 8), the German Federal Statistical Office said that although the country's inflation in July decreased slightly, it was still higher than the Eurozone average.

Specifically, German inflation in July was 6.2%, 0.2 percentage points lower than the previous month, but higher than the average inflation rate of 5.3% in 20 countries in the European Economic Area. use the Euro (Eurozone).

According to the German Federal Statistical Office, high food prices continue to be a factor keeping this ratio higher than normal. Prices of food items in general were 11% higher than the same period last year, especially bread, cereal products and vegetables increased by 16%.

The only products in the group of cheaper food items were cooking oils and fats with a decrease of 12.9%. During the same period, energy costs increased by 5.7%, with electricity costs 17.6% more expensive.

Last week, the European Statistics Agency (Eurostat), said that inflation in 20 countries in the Eurozone area fell to 5.3% in July 2023, down nearly 1 percentage point compared to May.
