จากกราฟราคาเราทำการเลือกจุด XABCD ดังรูปจะเห็นได้ว่าจุด B มีการ retrace เป็นระยะ 78.6% ของแขน XA จึงตีความว่าเป็นรูปแบบ butterfly โดยมีเป้าหมายการรีบาวด์ตามแนว fibonacci ดังรูป แต่อย่างไรก็ตามราคาต้องทำการ breakout จุด B ให้ได้ก่อนเพื่อยืนยีนรูปแบบ
