This is where retail comes in selling as they make periodical dumps on high volume time frames (usually at the bottom as they finish unloading) and buying back in on their pumps during low volume time frames--breakouts. Price action changes 10% up with half the volume today, goes down 10-20% with 3x the volume tomorrow, until their holdings are gone and they move on with their cash.
