But I see a lot of overhead resistance. Bearish momentum even if there is a bounce up to the resistance of the descending channel.

gold consolidated on the midline of the descending channel and now trying to retest channel's resistance. My guess it will be rejected and this is just a guess at the moment, I haven't looked into it deeply, I still cannot publish new ideas or upload pictures of charts.
