Siq_v5The DecisionPoint Price Momentum Oscillator ( PMO ) is an oscillator based on a Rate of Change calculation that is smoothed twice with custom exponential moving averages. Because the PMO is normalized, it can also be used as a relative strength tool.
PMO can be used in many ways:
- PMO can be used to determine the OB/OS state. While the +2.5 to -2.5 is the usual range for broad stock market indexes, each price index will have its own “signature” range. You may have to tune this for your instrument.
- PMO triggers buy/sell on signal crossovers and ZERO crossovers.
- Common patterns like BullKiss, BearKiss are useful to track. See the link below for more info.
- Divergences.
- Histo-only mode that can be used similar to MACD-Histo.
I have exposed all params as configurable. Have fun tuning :) Don't forget to share what you found for your instrument.
Top Goon X
Momentum based indicator
various signals for various parameters
bull/bear divergence will be seen as the dots with blue being bearish and yellow being bullish
the red X and green + are top and bottom signals per TGX
white flag appears respectably on top and bottom when all parameters are met bullshly or bearishly
Watch for TGX to reset while it rest just under resistance for a bullish set up
or
for TGX to run while sitting on top of support for bearish set up
TGX will trend in the upper parallel when bullish and bottom when bearish
towards the end of the trend is when you will see TGX "reset" for one last push up, albeit that push can run as long as it the market wants

Stochastic RSI Momentum TranformThis is my version of Stochastic RSI, but not the stochastic RSI alone, hell no, it's a lagging indicator, I don't like lagging indicators.
This is a leading indicator that has momentum calculations in it and not only that, it has a momentum shifting calculation based on modified ehler's transformation !
Simple for user, a hell to program !
Price and how to get access to ? contact me in PM !
VelocityI was wondering how Jurik's Velocity works and after some time I created a little bit different Velocity.
What is this?
Everybody heard about the momentum indicator. The classic momentum shows the difference between the current price and the price N periods ago. How far in the past the comparison is made is up to the trader.
When the indicator reaches extremely high (low) values and then turns in the opposite direction it can be considered a sell (buy) signal. Sometimes it is better than waiting for the 0-line crossovers. Another way is to use the indicator to find out divergences with the price.
What's wrong with it?
The classical momentum indicator produces many misleading values and false signals due to its jagged nature. To remove noise and smooth out its line users apply the different moving averages. No matter how cool is your average - you always add a lag. And the lag will seriously decrease the performance of the momentum indicator.
All of this can be avoided using a special smoothing technique.
Settings
Period (default: 30 )
Price Source (default: hlc3 )
Peaks Highlighting (default: false )
Velocity with peaks highlighting
NOTE : This is not Bullish/Bearish Phases . Phases is a pure volume-based indicator and doesn't use the price to measure the dominance.
I attached some screenshots to show you how it works with other instruments so, you can compare it with Jurik' Velocity.
Good luck!
GTOGTO is a easy to understand and use script
it just uses candle closes and other variables to gauge momentum that is then plotted on top of the chart
teal = bullish
salmon = bearish
you want them plotting while in your desired trade, if you are long and bearishness starts showing may be good toexit vise versa
Red X is BULL fatigue or can other wise be seen as bearish
Green X is the opposite

Valley Range SystemUsing RSI
I use a system that helps judge momentum based on price action and rsi
based on plots
cyan is bull
yellow is bear
cross over technique is used
when 3 lines cross over or under, and you get two confirmed momentum signals in a row thats a confirmed entry long or short
to close you want two or three momentum signals opposing your trade
to flip trade all 3 lines must cross and the 2 flash momentum check is given
bullish and bearish divergence also work so use them to aid the strength of the move.

Top Goon XVTGXV
originally Top Goon(X)
is a momentum based oscillator that ranged between -2-2
Use it as any normal momentum based oscillator
TGXV gives you Bear trend signals and bull trend signals with their respected symbols
the continuous dots are indication of trend momentum strength
the more in a row you have the stronger the trend
spotty and it is neutral
if your move does not come with TMS dots then its probably fake
Stalled PA against resistance with TGXV falling is bearish
Stalled PA against support with TGXV rising is bullish
ranged between the upper parallel is bullish and lower is bearish
when an extreme is met TGXV will give a short or long call.
this will be updated as we move forward

[SC]Rainbow - MOMENTUMThis indicator calculates and displays 31 momentum lines between "min period" and "max period".
Positive momentum is calculated using the high value.
negative momentum is calculated using the low value.
smooth factor is used for smoothing values.
"ema(ema(momentum value, momentum period*smooth factor), momentum period*smooth factor)"
Up/Down Range Momentum MTFSo using the script of
and adding non repainting MTF function to it we create this momentum model
You can enter either at cross of blue line or at cross of 0 and vice versa at red line.
since it has MTF function you can look it on different time frames just set int 2 to the TF of your desire
JSE Market Breadth Stocks>MAThis indicator is for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and indicates the number of stocks in the Top 40 Index above its selected Smooth Moving Average (SMA). Typically the 200SMA is used to see the longer term health of the market and the 50SMA for a short term view. Currently the market has reached a point that less than 2% of stocks were above their 200SMA which is the lowest since 2013.
Wave Momentum StrategyWave Momentum Strategy is a momentum and cyclic based strategy. It uses the best indicators I've created in the past along with some other HPT (High Probability Trade) signals I developed to attempt to trade successfully at any time-frame. The primary underlying signal generator is the Wave Momentum Indicator which you'll also find on my profile. This indicator gets more accurate with time (larger timescale) and in general gives an excellent indication of overall market conditions (bullish, bearish, chop).
It works best with Futures because it doesn't fall victim to the gap open or the gap and drop as frequently. I have not tested with stocks/equities because I do not trade them regularly. I traded using this system for most of the past few years until I moved to an automated system I built in C#. It was one of at least 4 strategies I ran at anywhere from 5m to 1d intervals.
ZR1DMI/ADX
blue is Bull momentum
yellow is Bear momentum
gray line is trending line
dotted is TREND LINE
idea:
look for two lines to be above the dotted TREND LINE
bullish = Bull momentum + Trending Line
bearish = Bear Momentum + Trending Line
when all three are converged or when Tending Line is below dotted its CHOP
Blue flashes when BULL momentum is growing
Yellow flashes when BEAR momentum is growing
NOTE: FOR PA TO MOVE WE DONT ALWAYS NEED 2 LINES ABOVE 1 BELOW
a secondary trade idea is simply on cross over .
when Trending line + one of the momentum lines crosses over the 3rd line (secondary momentum) this can also be seem as trend confirmation.
with that said the strongest and safest set ups are still when 2 is above the TRENDING LINE and 1 below
Trader Set - Volume MomentumThis is a Momentum indicator but on "Volume" The formula is heavily tweaked version of TSI with chance of using different averaging types, the period numbers are fixed and user don't need to type anything for them!
Please don't contact me for getting access, these tools are available for my students only. These are part of my "methodology" that I teach. The English version of the website and learning material is under development and I will announce it under each related script when they are ready so that those who are interested can participate in the course.
Trader Set - Ergodic MomentumThis is a price momentum indicator that is based on Ergodic formula (TSI), but the formula is tweaked and different types of averaging is allowed. by changing the type of average calculation and some predefined values (totally different from what is suggested by now) we get a nasty indicator that can easily be used both for cycle observation side by side with momentum of the price itself !

Volatility Based Momentum (VBM)The Volatility Based Momentum (VBM) indicator is a variation on the rate-of-change (ROC) indicator. Instead of expressing momentum in a percentage gain or loss, VBM normalizes momentum using the historical volatility of the underlying security.
The VBM indicator offers numerous benefits to traders who orient their trading around volatility. For these traders, VBM expresses momentum in a normalized, universally applicable ‘multiples of volatility’ (MoV) unit. Given the universal applicability of MoV, VBM is especially suited to traders whose trading incorporates numerous timeframes, different types of securities (e.g., stocks, Forex pairs), or the frequent comparison of momentum between multiple securities.
The calculation for a volatility based momentum (VBM) indicator is very similar to ROC, but divides by the security’s historical volatility instead. The average true range indicator (ATR) is used to compute historical volatility.
VBM(n,v) = (Close - Close n periods ago) / ATR(v periods)
For example, on a daily chart, VBM(22,65) calculates how many MoV price has increased or decreased over the last 22 trading days (approximately one calendar month). The second parameter is the number of periods to use with the ATR indicator to normalize the momentum in terms of volatility.
For more details, there is an article further describing VBM and its applicability versus ROC.
[RESEARCH] MomentumHello traders and developers!
I compared different techniques to get momentum of the series.
The 4 samples are:
1) Raw difference between price and price some bars ago
2) Built-in "change" function
3) Built-in "mom" function
4) Jedi's momentum - difference between current and previous SMA multiplied by it's period
All results are identical.
So, we have two built-in functions that do the same thing: "change" and "mom". For brevity it is better to use "mom" when you need to get momentum of the series.
Good luck!
Stochastic Momentum Indexon indicators you can buy oversold when marked with a green cross. and selling overbought is marked with a red cross.
