It operates through the following segments: Government and Corporate, Retail, Investment and Treasury, and Hospitality, Brokerage, and Real Estate. The Government and Corporate segment provides companies, institutions and government departments with a range of Islamic financial products and services. The Retail segment offers a range of Islamic financial services to individuals. The Investment and Treasury segment mainly includes income on investments of the bank and other money market activities. The Hospitality and Brokerage segment provides hospitality and brokerage services respectively. The company was founded in January 1975 and is headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
