IDAT targets global digital infrastructure technology providers which are specifically identified by Morningstars research team as companies that benefit from having significant exposure to two primary themes: cloud computing and 5G. Eligible firms that meet size and liquidity screens are further evaluated based on their current and projected 5-, 10-, and 20-year revenue from cloud computing- and 5G-related businesses. Companies are then scored based on their given betas relative to each theme.The top 25 companies within each primary theme are selected and weighted by market-cap. Individual positions are capped at 2.5% weight. Holdings are rebalanced and reconstituted annually to have equal allocations on each primary theme group.
