BBK fundamentals

BBK BSC engages in the provision of financial services. It operates through the following segments: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking, Investment and Treasury Activities, and Other Activities. The Retail Banking segment engages in handling individual customers' deposits and providing consumer finance type loans, overdrafts, credit facilities and fund transfer facilities; credit cards, and foreign exchange. The Corporate Banking segment handles loans and other credit facilities; and deposit and current accounts for corporate and institutional customers in Bahrain. The International Banking segment involves loans and other credit facilities, deposit and current accounts for international corporate and institutional customers; it also covers the operations of the overseas units. The Investment and Treasury Activities segment provides money market, trading, and treasury services, as well as the management of the group's funding operations. The Other Activities segment includes business process outsourcing services. The company was founded on March 16, 1971 and is headquartered in Manama, Bahrain.
