It operates through the following segments: Property and Casualty Reinsurance; Life and Health Reinsurance; Primary Property and Casualty Insurance; Asset Management; and Others. The Property and Casualty Reinsurance segment offers a wide variety of reinsurance products for various property and casualty insurance such as motor, property, agricultural, and liability insurance. The Life and Health Reinsurance segment includes reinsurance products such as life, health, and accident insurance. The Primary Property and Casualty Insurance segment is involved in insurance products and other businesses including motor, property, and liability insurance. The Asset Management segment provides asset management services and manages assets and liabilities related to notes issued overseas. The Others segment focuses on managing and supporting business development of the group with strategy, risk management, actuary, finance, legal, and human resource functions; and the insurance agency business. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Beijing, China.
