The Institutional Business segment comprises mainly of investment banking, trading in bonds, institutional broking activity and investment advisory services thereby earning transaction-based fees. The Wealth Management & Distribution segment consists of portfolio management, wealth management, and retail broking activities. The Housing Finance segment provides housing loans. The SME & Micro Credit Lending segment focuses on the provision of loans to small businesses in semi-urban areas. The company was founded by Chandir Gobind Gidwani, Jaspal Bindra Singh, and Khushrooh Byramjee on November 18, 1977 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
