The Laser Device Business segment manufactures and sells high-performance semiconductor lasers and wafers for communication. The Visual Information Device Business segment manufactures, sells, and undertakes the development of products that use retinal projection technology. The company was founded by Mitsuru Sugawara on April 24, 2006 and is headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan.
