Avicanna, Inc. is a medical cannabis company, which intends to engage in the business of discovery and development processes, intellectual property portfolio, strategic relationships, and cultivation infrastructure. It operates through the following two segments: Research and Development and Cultivation. The Research and Development segment conducts business in Johnson & Johnson Innovation centre. The Cultivation segment controls two companies located in Santa Marta, Colombia that are authorized to cultivate and process cannabis for the production of Extracts, including Cannabidiol and Tetrahydrocannabinol. The company was founded by Aras Azadian, Kyle Langstaff, and Setu Purohit in May 2015 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
