隨著首個新冠疫苗後期試驗成功的消息傳出後，很大機會加速經濟從大流行病中的複蘇，削弱了實施額外刺激政策的希望。因此令到投資者拋售避險黃金, 轉向投入美股, 導致黃金大跌100美元, 去到1850的關口。

在亞洲時段, GSA仍然沒有宣布拜登為總統選舉的獲勝者,因此市場避險需求依舊存在, 黃金回到1880關口附近
