GSFC - Selling Right Shoulder Top@154 -155 Stops -156 Target-146

okkk thanks abhishek
abhishek i bought put 140 strike rate i di right or not
@niteshkumar, Nitesh. Options is another concept as time component plays major role which will decay as time moves closer to expiration -if cash/spot price of the stock doesn't fall below 140 strike rate- you won't get better results -I mean your benefit will be limited as 140 strike rate is too far considering the Jan expiry and if you buy near strike rate option it will be costly but will give desired result faster once it starts falling below that strike rate. Let say you buy 150 or 152 strike rate -if available then as soon as cash /spot price moves below 150/152 - your results will be fast & better profit as compared to 140 strike rate option. So, to sum up -140 is far away contract which will not give the desired result as per your wish. Do contact some options guy / options expert for his opinions. Thanks & Have a nice weekend.
May I buy a PUT here?
@feroz397, Hi Feroz, You need to get in touch with options expert as its an instrument which is little tricky because of time value / time decay concept. I can just assure you that if GSFC remains beow 154-155 area it will fall to 146-144-142 levels but that may take time & won't result into desired profits if you buy a far away strike rate option. Do consider reply above for Nitesh. He has similar question. Thanks & Have a nice weekend.
