Nifty Levels & Strategy for 21/Oct/2022

NIFTY
Nifty closed in green and Bulls are trying hard to retain the control & continue with ongoing relief rally. Today, once again Bears as well as Bulls were rewarded who traded based on good quality setup. Buy on only when price action indicate you to buy & vice versa in case of sell. Weakness in Indian Rupee is hurting Indian traders. Nifty & Bank Nifty are trading in opposite directions. We have Diwali two days of Diwali vacation prior to October expiry. Please avoid trading (specially buying) in weekly options.

Bulls have slightly upper hand based on OI data. Shall we continue to buy on dips & sell on rise with strict SL untill market trend is clear? Yes, I think so. Please share your thoughts.

FIIs: Bullish in Cash & Bearish in F&O
FIIs have BOUGHT in cash market for 1865 Crores and BOUGHT in derivatives market for 14998 Crores. FIIs have heavily added bearish positions in index futures & stock put options. Added bullish positions in stock future & stock call option contracts. They did profit booking in short positions of stock future, index call & index put options.

FIIs Outstanding Open Interest in Index options as of today:
NET INDEX CALL CONTRACTS:1.75L, INDEX CALL LONG:3.94L, INDEX CALL SHORT:2.18L
NET INDEX PUT CONTRACTS:3.61L, INDEX PUT LONG:5.83L, INDEX PUT SHORT:2.22L

DIIs: Bearish in Cash & F&O
DIIs SOLD in cash market for -887 Crores. DIIs have added bearish positions in index future, index put and stock call option contracts. They did profit booking in short contracts of stock futures.

Pro Traders: Neutral
Pro traders have added bullish positions in index future, index call, stock call & stock put options. They did PL booking & reduced positions in index call, index put, stock future & stock put options. They have added new bearish positions in stock futures.

Retail Traders: Mild Bullish to Neutral
Retail traders have added bullish positions in index future contracts & bearish positions in stock futures & stock put. They have done PL booking in index call, index put, stock future, stock call and stock put.
