由于零售销售数据公布后市场对美联储5月加息的押注激增，加上美联储理事放鹰和消费者近期的通胀预期意外强劲回升，现货黄金从逾一年来高位大幅回落，一度大跌超50美元 ，但尾盘小幅反弹至2000大关上方，最终收跌1.74%，报2004.26美元/盎司。
