XAU/USD has been trading in a consolidation phase, showing no significant upward or downward movement between November 25 and December 9. Previously, it hit a low of 2537 on November 14. Sellers have been attempting to push the price back to this level, but they’ve struggled to break below the psychological support at 2600.
This inability to breach key support suggests bearish momentum is weakening. With the price holding firm above 2600, the likelihood of a breakout above the trendline increases. If this happens, gold could rally to test its all-time high of 2780–2800.
