How important is option chain analysis?
The option chain analysis data provides a very comprehensive view for all the available options for any particular underlying asset. This helps in understanding and selecting the correct option for trading or investment purpose.
Difference between technical analysis and option trading
Technical analysis and options trading can go hand in hand. Many of the best practices for options trading come directly from technical analysis concepts. Technical analysis focuses on price. Fundamental analysis does not solely focus on price.
why we learn option chain?
Option chain is a chart that will give in-depth information related to all stock contracts available for Nifty stocks. The best thing about the option chain is that it provides valuable information about the current security value and how it will affect it in the long term.
What is the purpose of option chain?
It can be used in creating an option strategy at several strike prices. It can be used to analyse and draw noteworthy insights about the stock and its probable movements. It helps the traders in evaluating the liquidity and the depth of the option contract.
Technical trader
Technical trading is a broader style that is not necessarily limited to trading. Generally, a technician uses historical patterns of trading data to predict what might happen to stocks in the future. This is the same method practiced by economists and meteorologists: looking to the past for insight into the future.

Metrics: DrawdownDrawdown is the metric used to measure the decline in a performance curve relative to a previous peak. It represents the distance between a maximum point in the capital curve and its subsequent minimum.
This indicator can be visualized in relative terms (%) or absolute terms (€, $...). In my opinion, I always recommend using relative data as it makes the analysis more intuitive.
From this concept arises the maximum drawdown of a strategy, which indicates the maximum percentage loss between a peak and a trough over a specific period of time. This period can range from the last month to the entire historical series, known as the drawdown from origin.
Therefore, drawdown is used in the risk assessment of a system, both on its own and in combination with other related measures that provide a higher degree of information.
Correlation between different assetsCorrelation is a measure that establishes the degree of relationship between different assets. It is measured on a scale of +100% to -100%.
In the case of a +100% correlation (perfect positive correlation), both assets move in an identical manner in the market. Conversely, if the correlation is -100% (perfect negative correlation), we are talking about two assets that move in an exactly opposite manner.
Correlation is a crucial measure to consider because not being aware of the correlations between assets could inadvertently increase our risk. For example, if we open a sell position in NDJPY and another with the same lot size in NZDUSD based on an analysis conducted on the 4H timeframe, we would be multiplying our risk by 2 due to the high correlation between both assets in that timeframe (88%). The correct way to handle this situation may be to either reduce the risk of both trades by half or only trade the pair with a clearer scenario in your analysis.
Understanding Price Action and Volume in TradingIntroduction:
In trading, there are two main components to consider: the psychological aspect and the technical aspect. While this tutorial will focus on the technical part, it's important to note that the psychological aspect is also crucial for trading success. In the technical realm, two key elements to prioritize are price action and volume. By understanding and analyzing these factors, traders can gain valuable insights into market dynamics. This tutorial will provide an overview of price action and volume and explain their significance in trading.
Understanding Volume
Definition of Volume:
- Volume represents the number of transactions in the marketplace.
- Each unit of volume indicates a single transaction (e.g., a sale).
Volume as an Indicator of Strength:
- Volume does not indicate the presence of more buyers or sellers.
- It reveals the level of aggressiveness exhibited by buyers and sellers.
- Higher volume suggests greater interest or activity at specific price levels.
- Lower volume may indicate a lack of interest or support at certain levels.
Auction Market Theory:
- The market functions as an auction place with buyers and sellers seeking price equilibrium.
- Bid and ask prices reflect the orders placed by traders and institutions.
- Understanding the auction market theory helps decipher the relative strength of buyers and sellers.
- Level 2 data, including bids, asks, and time and sales, provide insights into order flow.
Understanding Price Action
Importance of Price Action:
- Price action refers to the movement and behavior of price on the charts.
- Analyzing price action helps identify trends, breakouts, and reversals.
- Price action reflects market sentiment and the acceptance of certain price levels.
Components of Price Action:
- Candlestick patterns: Analyzing the shape and structure of individual candlesticks.
- Supply and demand: Evaluating imbalances between buying and selling pressure.
- Support and resistance: Identifying key price levels where buyers or sellers are active.
Combining Price Action and Volume:
- Integrating volume analysis with price action enhances trading decisions.
- Volume confirms or contradicts price movements, providing validation or cautionary signals.
- Analyzing price action and volume together helps identify strength, trends, and traps.
Using Indicators Properly
Limitations of Indicators:
- Many indicators are lagging, meaning they rely on price data to generate signals.
- Price action and volume are leading indicators that provide real-time insights.
Simplifying Your Trading Approach:
- Remove unnecessary indicators and clutter from your charts.
- Focus on price action and volume as primary tools for analysis.
- Develop trading strategies and playbooks based on these essential components.
Conclusion:
Mastering the technical aspects of trading requires a deep understanding of price action and volume. By simplifying your approach and focusing on these key components, you can develop a solid foundation for trading success. This tutorial has provided an introductory overview of price action and volume. In subsequent lessons, we will delve into more advanced topics such as order flow and deeper levels of analysis. Remember to avoid overcomplicating your trading and always seek continuous learning and improvement.
The most common mistakes traders make and how to avoid themWhen it comes to investing, trading can be a highly lucrative and exciting way to potentially earn profits. However, it's not without its challenges. One of the biggest challenges for traders is avoiding common mistakes that can lead to significant financial losses. In this article, we'll discuss the most common mistakes traders make and provide actionable tips on how to avoid them.
1. Lack of Research and Preparation:
One of the most crucial aspects of successful trading is research and preparation. Unfortunately, many traders overlook this crucial step in their haste to start trading. Without proper research and preparation, traders may miss critical market trends or overlook important factors that can impact their trades.
To avoid this mistake, it's essential to do thorough research and preparation before placing any trades. This includes conducting fundamental and technical analysis of the market, evaluating economic data, and developing a trading strategy based on your research. By doing so, traders can better understand market conditions and make informed decisions about their trades.
2. Emotions and Impulsivity:
Another common mistake traders make is allowing their emotions to impact their trading decisions. When traders become emotionally attached to their trades, they may make impulsive decisions based on fear, greed, or other emotions. These decisions can lead to poor trading results, including significant financial losses.
To avoid the pitfalls of emotions and impulsivity in trading, it's essential to remain objective and rational when making trading decisions. Traders should stick to their trading plan and avoid deviating from it based on emotions. Additionally, traders can use tools like stop-loss orders to automatically close positions if the market moves against them.
3. Overtrading:
Overtrading is a common mistake that many traders make, and it can have devastating consequences. Overtrading occurs when traders place too many trades in a short period, usually due to a desire to make up for previous losses or to chase profits. This can lead to significant financial losses and may result in traders ignoring their trading strategy.
To avoid overtrading, traders must be disciplined and patient in their trading approach. They should stick to their trading plan and avoid making impulsive trades based on emotions. Additionally, traders should set realistic trading goals and avoid chasing unrealistic profits.
4. Lack of Risk Management:
Risk management is a critical component of successful trading, yet many traders overlook this aspect. Traders who do not implement an effective risk management strategy are more likely to experience significant losses in the event of adverse market movements.
To avoid the pitfalls of poor risk management, traders should assess their risk tolerance and develop a risk management strategy that aligns with their risk tolerance. This may include implementing stop-loss orders, using position sizing techniques, and diversifying their portfolio.
5. Focusing on Short-Term Profits:
Traders who focus solely on short-term profits often make the mistake of ignoring long-term market trends and opportunities. This can lead to missed opportunities for profitable trades and may result in traders making impulsive decisions based on short-term market movements.
To avoid this mistake, traders should adopt a long-term perspective in their trading approach. They should focus on market trends and opportunities that align with their long-term trading goals and avoid being swayed by short-term market movements.
6. Not Having a Trading Plan:
Traders who do not have a trading plan are more likely to make impulsive trading decisions and may overlook critical market trends and opportunities. A trading plan outlines a trader's approach to the market and includes details on their trading strategy, risk management, and trading goals.
To avoid this mistake, traders should develop a comprehensive trading plan that aligns with their trading goals and risk tolerance. They should review and update their trading plan regularly to reflect changes in the market or their trading objectives.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, avoiding common trading mistakes is essential to successful trading. By doing proper research and preparation, managing emotions and impulsivity, implementing an effective risk management strategy, focusing on long-term profits, and developing a comprehensive trading plan, traders can make informed decisions that lead to profitable trades. Trading is a complex and challenging endeavor, but with discipline, patience, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, traders can achieve success in the markets.
MFI indicator and how to work with itHello everyone, letit is in touch and today we want to tell you about one very cool indicator.
MFI - (money flow index) is a technical indicator designed to demonstrate the intensity with which money is invested in a security and withdrawn from it by analyzing trading volumes and the ratio of typical prices of periods.
it shows how attractive the asset looks. That is, the degree of intensity of investing money in it. At the same time, only the dynamics of the indicator is important, its value at a particular moment in itself does not matter much.
That is, speaking in simple terms, there is a similarity with rsi, but here it is not so strict in terms of divergences and convergences.
The indicator simply shows the discrepancy between the cash flow and the price of an asset.
Now on bitcoin we can see this discrepancy.
We had growth when money left the asset - this is a signal for a fall.
Therefore, the team and I expect the asset to fall to the area of 21500-20200, and from there it will turn around.
Below are some more examples of discrepancies.

Different Methods to Identify Perfect Entries with ConfluenceBasics of Trading and the areas of interest of every trader to have minimum knowledge to understand the market and its movement.
Volume Based Entries
Basics of Volume When the price is trending volume will be above volume moving average that will be considered as trend, when volume is too high in a session thats higher than 3x to volume moving average that will be considered as climax which means maximum orders are filled in the exsisting trend. Apart from stocks if such Climax pattern in volume in any format is seen then consider there might be a reversal soon. If one is trading in the stocks you get to see this ultra high volumes in gap ups and gap downs, now you will have to know what sort of gap it is to take entries which we will discuss in the Gaps later.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gaps
Gaps theory needs to be understood properly, over 4 kinds of Gaps are found in charts. Simple understanding follows :
Common Gaps : Normal gaps that happen every day with in a ranging market
Break Away Gaps : If a range/pattern/Support or Resistance is broken with a gap that is called break away gap. This sort of gap happens in the early stages of trend.
Running Gaps : After breakaway gaps rest of the gaps if happened towards the trend is called running gaps. as long as there is an exhaustion gap.
Exhaustion Gaps : This Exhaustion Gap happens either up or down after an up trend or the same in a down trend. These gaps gets filled giving an idea that the trend has ended.
Consolidation Areas
Consolidation areas or the trading ranges are to be considered as Support & Resistance areas to identify for patterns like Triangle, wedge, flag, pennant, or rectangle patterns. good areas to look for gap up or down and volume to identify breakout for the next move or plan for the next session.
Fib Extension & Retracements
Fibonacci extention and retracements is the basic knowledge that any trader who is willing to learn about technical analysis should be considering learning in depth, its a basic tool that gives you a lot of info, Basic knowledge to know is Fibbonacci Retracement is used to identify the entry and Extension is used to identify the exit. levels of interest are called the golden ratio i;e: 38%, 50%, 62% this is where majority of the reversals happen, these can be considered as Support & Resistance zones to look for breakout entries
Support & Resistance
Every traders nightmare is to understand or identify S&R in the initial days of your trading is not because you cannot ... it is because you are too curious, anxious, exited to enter into a trade, once you calm down and try to understand the market its not that hard to identify them ... S&R areas are the reversal zones or breakout zones it is going to be a big topic if tried to explain the whole concept so lets just stick to basics and use pivot high and low and FIB levels as your support and resistance zones for now.
Trendline Breakout
These are first thing that any trader learns try to master them, a perfect trendline is considered a strong support in uptrend or resistance in downtrend when it has respected this line for least 2 times from its start point. A breakout gives you and opportunity to enter in to a trade.
Elliott Wave
This is not considered as entry point in the initial stages of learning but one should know the basics of elliott wave to identify the trend we are in by looking at the leg we are in and you can calculate the trend by given wave length through fibonacci ratios. Only thing that you need to know is that market doesnt move in a straight line like you see in elliott wave picture above there will be waves with in waves.
Try to bring all these together as confluence to understand the market move and take entries.
Note : Train the eye to identify the structure, then comes the logic and explanation.
Let us analyze recent fall and rise events in BTCBitcoin had a fantastic rally this year but also had seen the worst of the falls due to China’s crackdown. Let’s analyze the BTC chart and find out the critical signs we have observed during the fall and also analyze what’s the current situation.
In this analysis, we will be using Trendlines, Supply and Demand Zones, and RSI. We shall understand them briefly.
Trendlines can be ascending or descending lines. The trendlines are formed using at least 2 tops or bottoms. Ascending lines are formed by joining at least 2 higher highs or 2 higher lows which act as support. Descending lines are formed by joining at least 2 lower lows or 2 lower highs which act as resistance.
Applications of Trendline s:
1. They indicate the prevailing trend in the particular duration.
2. They act as support and resistance lines.
3. If ascending trendlines are broken to the downside and the immediate low of the rally is broken then the stock may have a new downtrend.
4. Similarly breaking the descending trendlines to the upside and an immediate high of the prevailing fall indicates the new uptrend.
Supply and Demand Zones are the zones where the price is failing to break out multiple times. Supply zones are the areas of interest for the bears and demand zones are the areas of interest for the bulls.
Applications of Zone s:
1. They represent the critical areas in the chart where the traders or investors are interested.
2. Breakouts in either direction will add momentum in that direction.
Interesting Interpretation of Trendlines and Zones :
1. Ascending trendlines are joined by the points where bulls are interested to go long.
2. Descending trendlines are joined by the points where bears are interested to go short.
3. Similarly demand and supply zones are zones where bulls and bears are interested in long and short respectively.
4. Giving up trendlines and prices going below or above immediate level indicate that the bulls or bears have given up on the stock for a while.
Important Note :
The breakout should be confirmed by checking higher volumes or pull backtest or waiting for the price to take out immediate high or low. This confirmation gives us a confluence between the different schools of thought. Some traders may only follow trendlines for breakouts, some may follow zones, these checks ensure you have more participation towards your position.
Once the trendline or a zone is broken the nature becomes opposite. For example, if a supply zone or a descending line is broken, the price rises and then comes back to test the zone, this time it must act as a demand zone or support line, else it is said to be failed in the pull backtest.
Relative Strength Index (RSI)
It is a momentum indicator of the price in a particular duration. For detailed definition and formula, please check in the indicators section in TradingView.
It is generally used to determine whether the stock is oversold or overbought.
Applications of RSI:
1. Oversold if the price reaches 20 or 30.
2. Overbought if the price reaches 80 or 70.
3. Reversal signs based on divergences. If price is making higher highs or higher lows but on contrary RSI is making lower highs or lower lows. Then it is a sign of bulls giving up and a bearish reversal is on its way.
Let us these concepts and apply to our chart.
You can see supply and demand zones and the trendlines on the chart.
FALL
The supply zone had been tested four times and then took a great fall. You can have a doubt that actually once the price had managed to breakout supply zone with good volumes and crossed immediate higher high but even failed. Yes, here it failed the pullback test. It received resistance from the purple trendline 1 and came back for the pullback test and failed. We can see a bearish divergence by checking corresponding highs trendline 1 connected in RSI. RSI was also indicating overbought signs.
After a certain fall, it rose again to test the zone which now turned to supply zone and couldn’t break. This gave confirmation for the participants of different schools of thought, hence with huge volumes price fell.
RISE
The price reached another critical area called the demand zone. Before falling into the demand zone, the purple trendline 2 gave support to the fall. The corresponding trendline 2 in RSI confirms the bullish divergence and showing oversold signs. This reversal was confirmed by huge volumes, taking out the 40k mark and breaking a strong trendline which resisted price to rise during the fall. The price also took a pullback test and succeeded.
CURRENT SITUATION
After a pullback, BTC made a high of 48k and then formed an intermediate demand zone. The blue trendline is supporting the rise. If the BTC breaks 48k, it can go to test the supply zone. If it breaks the blue trendlines and the intermediate trendline, it can test the 37k level. If the 37k level fails it may test the demand zone again.
We have a minor bearish divergence in RSI and RSI is in the overbought zone.
As we analyzed the fall and rise of BTC, we understood before considering any position, confirmation is necessary.
This is just an education post and not investment advice.
BTCUSD probable Harmonic ReversalIt seems BTCUSD is in its reversal mode. As per harmonic patterns, it's not beyond $35000 in this run.
As per crab Harmonic pattern, it has already achieved the of XA leg i.e.1.618 level. Whereas it is just waiting to achieve the extreme level of projection of BC leg i.e. 3.618 level.
Bitcoin (BTCUSD) Trend based on FractalFor the same fractal previously my analysis went wrong, because this wasn't a perfect match. But the current chart shows perfect matching of fractal from the month of May- July matching with mid Nov -present.
I my previous post I also mentioned that BTC is bullish so their is a possibility of failure of analysis and that actually happened.
In the current condition also such possibility exits but to lighter side.
Since BTC has crossed it's ATH so their is a lot possibility that most big, smart investors had sold their coins. which decreases the chances of increase in price. Also in previous bull run of 2014 to 2018 around ATH of 2014 BTC had a huge correction.
So considering all the above factors I believe opening short positions are safer than long positions. Also booking some profits and waiting for good buy around support levels is better.
BTCUSD IS BULLISH - creating Harmonic Extended Crab Pattern BTC USD is creating an Extended Harmonic Patterns - The Crab Patterns
B point retraced XA by Fib 0.618 (13102) level
C Point is retraced AB between 0.786 and Fib 0.886 level.
Now D point in the process of forming the important Fib extension of XA which is 1.618 level ( 29000 )
That is the projection as of now for BTC-USD in this bull run.
Once it reaches 29000 level only then I can see the reversal.
On reversal CD will form an extreme wave, which will be any where from 2.24 /2.618/3.14/3.618 levels projection of BC.

After a significant drop in Bitcoin price , the price is in a correction wave.
What makes the chart interesting today is that:
. Bitcoin is likely to challenge the 18042 ~ 18227 resistance area.
. A break above 18227 could push the pair to the 19487 area .
. A resistance rejection , however could lead to another retest of the lower supports.
Will the Bitcoin see a rejection from the resistance area or an upside breakout?
No one knows it! We have to wait and see!

5th Wave Failed(Why) in Elliott Wave - Truncation(What)!Truncation learning - shortening something
That why Elliot used the word failure shorter 5-wave compare to 3rd Wave, forever it does not move beyond or higher the end of the third. We prefer the less connotative term truncation or truncation fifth wave as illustrated in the chart.
Reason of Truncating in 5th Wave:
In the bull market, weakness in price & Strength in price for Bearish market
The Falling Wedge Proves Itself Again | Bitcoin In my previous analysis I talked about The falling channel Bitcoin was in. However when I took another look at it, it looked more like a falling wedge. This does not make any difference in the outcome of the price but this shows that TA can be subjective. But that is not what I wanted to talk about.
Falling wedges and channels are my favorite bullish trade setups for any asset and it shows again. The setup is as follows:
1: We spot a falling wedge or channel preferibly on the daily timeframe or higher.
2: The price start going sideways at the bottom of the channel or wedge. This is where you want to buy. Look for a bullish divergence on the rsi on the hourly or maybe even the 15 min chart for an even better setup.
3: Set a stop-loss in case the price breaks support.
4: ?
5: profit
On this chart we can see 2 horizontal white lines above the current price. These are the price targets for this setup.
