Raubex Group Ltd. is an investment holding company, which engages in the business of infrastructure development. It operates through the following segments: Materials Handling and Mining, Construction Materials, Roads and Earthworks, Infrastructure, and Other. The Materials Handling and Mining segment includes contract crushing, materials handling and processing services for the mining industry, contract mining, and specialized resource ownership. The Construction Materials segment specializes in the production and supply of materials to the construction market, including aggregates from commercial quarries, asphalt, and value-added bituminous products. The Roads and Earthworks segment is involved in road construction and earthworks as well as road surfacing and rehabilitation. The Infrastructure segment focuses on outside of the road construction sector, including energy, facilities management, telecommunications, housing infrastructure projects, and commercial building refurbishment and construction. The Other segment refers to amounts that cannot be allocated to specific segments, including the voluntary rebuilding programme. The company was founded by Jacobus Esaias Raubenheimer on November 28, 1974 and is headquartered in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
